Remember, don’t use spaces! URL aliases may have dashes or underscores to separate words. This information is filled in by the system and should not be changed. By default, every piece of content you create will have “Published” checked. That means that, once you click the “Submit” button, that content is available to the public. However, sometimes you may not want content available yet. If so, just uncheck “Published.” Then, the content will only show to you as an ad- ministrator. If your site uses the “story block” layout, then the next two options are not ap- plicable and will not work on your site. Promoted to front page: Stories have this option checked by default as well, since that’s the only place they are readily available. However, you can also promote, for example, an event to the homepage this way: it saves the trou- ble of creating both a story for the homepage and an event to show on the calendar.
